Description
Government have reviewed the eligibility criteria prescribed in the
guidelines keeping in view of requests from people of different sectors, and after
careful consideration hereby issue the following amendment to the said order:
“The persons belonging to the households fulfilling one or more of the
following conditions and whose annual household income is more than Rs.1.50
lakhs in Rural areas and Rs.2.00 lakhs in Urban areas listed below shall not be
eligible for Social Security Pensions”
2. In Para 4 under eligibility criteria (III) the words occurred in (C) “The
households under the following socio- economic criteria and falling in the above
age group may be considered for inclusion and hence eligible for a pension,
provided they are not in the exclusion list” shall be substituted and read as follows;
“The households under the following socio-economic criteria and falling in
the above age group and whose annual household income is less than Rs.1.50
lakhs in Rural areas and Rs.2.00 lakhs in Urban areas may be considered for
inclusion and hence eligible for a pension, provided they are not in the exclusion
list”
