In the case where excess amount has been paid from the date of death of service pensioner till the date of information to Treasuries Department, the excess amount paid may be adjusted from the family pensioner in lumpsum if possible. If it is not possible, the excess paid pension amount shall be adjusted in Family Pension to be paid in monthly installments equal to the number of months excess paid plus an additional period of (2) months. If, there is no Family Pension Beneficiary exists, in such cases the existing procedure of refund of excess paid service pension if any, in the form of Demand Draft/Bankers Cheques may be continued at the time of payment of Life Time Arrears to the Legal heirs of the Pensioner.
