PUBLIC SERVICES - Transfers and postings o f employees - Lifting of ban on transfers - Clarifications - Issued.

Government of Telangana, Finance (HRM.I) Department, vide Circular Memo No.3761148-A/257/A1/HRM.I/2026, dated 08.05.2026, has issued clarifications regarding transfers and postings of Government employees after lifting the ban on transfers. The Government stated that, as per G.O.Ms.No.34, Department for Women, Children, Disabled and Senior Citizens (Prog.II), dated 07.08.2025, employees with disabilities are exempted from the routine exercise of transfers and postings. Further, vide G.O.Ms.No.38, Finance (HRM-I) Department, dated 21.04.2026, the Government relaxed the ban on transfers of Government employees for the period from 01.05.2026 to 31.05.2026 and issued transfer policy guidelines to be followed by the competent authorities while effecting transfers. The Government has clarified that the orders issued in G.O.Ms.No.34 shall continue to remain in force and the relaxation of the transfer ban issued in G.O.Ms.No.38 shall not apply to the categories of employees mentioned in the said Government Order. All Administrative Departments of Secretariat and Heads of Departments have been requested to take necessary further action accordingly.
